If they want to go into a trade war.....well ok....they will be the one that suffers and kills their economy....not that their economy is doing well lately. BRING IT ON....in the end it will greatly benefit us and force us to disconnect from them.

It is simply time to abandon the China markets......focus on India and the rest of the world.....and tell them to go FO. They are supporting and pushing the war in Ukraine and indirectly attacking Western and Eastern Europe. That is my simple one sentence view of how to deal with China. And....while we are at it....end the RIDICULOUS policy that allows them to sell......(FAKE)....stocks in their companies on American exchanges. AND.......lets get their 300,000 "students"......(spies).....out of our college system....and...remove their citizens that are working here in the USA. There is no reason to educate, support, or allow our ENEMY to have people working, teaching, studying and running around here. We also need to make sure we have a NATIONAL ban on them...... in any way..... owning any land or other property in this country.
Yeah, we see this repeated often. I find it funny that people complain about it and forget about all the other times with the top companies. It changes and evolves over time. For example, in 2005 the top 5 were General Electric, Exxon, Citigroup, Microsoft, and Procter Gamble. Tech companies have been in the top for a while now and for obvious reasons. No doubt at some point in time, it will change again. Might be many years, might not be. Everybody thinks any particular company may be at the top forever, people felt the same way about GE, IBM, or many others. I suspect somewhere way down the road investors will look back at companies we find fascinating today and find them somewhere else on the list. It is just how it works with competition and innovation.
Yes, the US/China relationship bites us again....and again....and again. We just seem to never learn our lesson. India....maybe, but they seem more interested in expanding their relations with China than the US at the moment. All of the trade talk with India kind of turned into a dud....then China warmed up to them soon after.

Red it is to close the day and decisively so it appears. Likely a result of the US/China trade spat again (mentioned earlier above). This might linger into next week....and it may not. How's that for a solid prediction???. I really don't care too much either way. I wouldn't mind a nice discount even further at this point. I did actually have a bit of green today, thanks to my treasury fund. Nice to see at least some green in the old account on a day like today.
I am definitely enjoying my rather tech concentrated gains at the moment. Well, not today... What the heck happened? Trade nonsense? Short term shaking out the weak. The mega companies are going to get what they want, regardless of what others say. Jensen is lying when he says he is not aware of restricted GPUs making it into China, but who's going to stop a 4 trillion dollar company at the bleeding edge of the largest tech revolution of the last 30 years? Not the U.S. government. Nope. Oh well. I just zoom out on the graph and see a nice trend. Onward and upward.
YES....a mini-black swan swooped in today and took out the markets. A big loss that escalated into the close. No doubt helped on by all the....."professionals"...fleeing stocks and positions in PANIC as usual. AND....it is the "retail investors" that might cause a bubble.....I dont think so. Today it is likely that the little "retail investors.....stood firm. Welcome to EARNINGS SEASON next week. I had a BIG.....I mean BIG...loss today. MEANINGLESS. Every stock RED. And a big loss to the SP500 today by....1.07%.
The little DRAMA today.....took me back to my entire portfolio, year to date, closing out the week at.....+21.51%. Last Friday at this time I had a year to date gain in my entire portfolio of.....+24.07%. Until this morning when the markets TANKED.....I had a nice gain going for the day and the week. Seems like something about....counting your chickens...applies.
I am off to do a show tonight. I have been doing 1 or 2 a month lately.....in addition to the studio time that I have been doing. ONWARD AND UPWARD.....after this little 1-10 day drama is over with.
I figured you were doing just fine. Minus today of course, but you were not alone in getting hit today….you had plenty of company. A lot of noise out there. There will be more no doubt in this environment. Entertainment is not cheap anymore
Yes...go for it. I do remember when the company first came out. It was very popular with kids and was always busy when you went by one. Even my kids made a few way back in the day. Funny how things sometimes come full circle in popularity.
