Eaton Vance Tax-Advantaged Global Dividend Opportunities Fund (the Fund) is a diversified closed-end management investment company. The Fund's investment objective is to provide a high level of after-tax total return consisting primarily of tax-advantaged dividend income and capital appreciation. The Fund pursues its objective by investing primarily in dividend-paying common and preferred stocks. Normally, the Fund will invest approximately 25% of its total managed assets in the securities of the United States issuers; approximately 30% of its total managed assets in securities of non-United States issuers, including issuers located in emerging market countries, and in issuers located in approximately five different countries (including the United States). It invests in various sectors, such as information technology, consumer staples, healthcare, industrials, energy, telecommunication services and utilities. Eaton Vance Management is the investment advisor to the Fund.
