This is a very interesting company which seems to have lots of potential in particular since the market cap is below C$ 30 Million.

Sixth Wave is a development stage nanotechnology company with patented technologies that focus on extraction and detection of target substances at the molecular level using highly specialized Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (“MIP’s”). The Company is in the process of commercializing its AffinityTM cannabinoid purification system, as well as, IXOS®, a line of extraction polymers for the gold mining industry.

In addition Sixth Wave partnered with York University and and the Centre Technologique des Residus Industriels (“CTRI”) to advance their virus detection technology, also in view of Covid-19.

The IXOS solution for the gold mining industry achieved 100 USD/oz cost reduction and has benefits for the environment. Agnico Eagle will start testing in July. As partners Cyplus and Sumitomo, both major technology providers for the mining industry. All well-known names in the mining industry. The only thing missing is Eric Sprott as an investor…

Below is a link to a corporate presentation with the CEO. He convinced me and the company seems to be no joke (the current low market cap however is a joke imo). The company had previously developed paper wipes for the detection of traces of explosives on surfuces which was used by the US army in Afghanistan.

Sixth Wave technology has tremendous potential in gold mining, cannabis and virus detection (Covid-19).

The IXOS Gold extraction unit apparently recovers additional 5 % to 10% of Gold. According to the company presentation with the CEO IXOS achieved 100 USD/oz cost reduction based on pilot scale test results for multiple miners. Additionally it has several benefits for the environment.

SIXW will meet with Agnico Eagle begnning of July in order to start testing at one of their mills. Market cap of SIXW is $27 Million and imo way too low considering the potential of their technology.

Here is a link to a presentation on the IXOS Gold extraction unit. Very convincing imo. If only a small percentage of the Gold mining investment community finds this interesting and invests in SIXW we will see much higher share prices.

This article is a few months old but it is a very good reminder of the tremendous potential of the IXOS Gold Extraction Technology. In my opinion the potential of this technology is more worth than the current market cap of SIXW. Bought some more shares today...

Could Nanotechnology Bring Down the Costs of Gold Mining Extraction?
    February 14, 2020
    http://goldstocktrades.com/blog/202...ing-down-the-costs-of-gold-mining-extraction/

    Excerpts:
This is where the problem lies with a lot of gold miners. More than 10% of gold mined is lost in this 100 year old cyanide solution using activated carbon. This comes at a huge cost for big producers like Agnico, Kinross and TMAC. A 200k oz/year producer could lose over $26 million annually just lost in cyanide solution and carbon particles.

One of the key features why I believe miners will adopt Molecular imprinted polymer nanotechnology over activated carbon is that you can use a lot less water. Water is a major issue in South America especially Chile where indigenous people are concerned that they will lose their drinking water. The eluent is reusable and the size of the plant is much smaller. Take a look at the tour of their pilot plant at one of Kinross's gold mines.

This patented technology can transform the gold extraction industry. Its six time faster to strip the gold from cyanide and saves the miners $100 per ounce.

The company signed a deal with Sumitomo the Japanese mining giant to market this technology to their network.

I have a feeling this one will move up again soon. As mentioned before the gold extraction technology alone is worth more than the current market cap.

Hoping for some good news concerning their virus detection technology and their Cannabis Extraction System...

At 24:50 minutes in the below interview they talk about SIXW. If the IXOS Gold extraction technology works, I am pretty sure that Eric Sprott will be a great multiplier for other projects. Sprott owns shares of Rio2...

Sixth Wave Continues Phase 2 Rapid COVID Test development and Receives Funding from Nova Scotia COVID-19 Response Council
Halifax, Nova Scotia – (October 27, 2020) – Sixth Wave Innovations Inc. (CSE:SIXW) (OTCQB:ATURF) (FSE:AHUH) (“Sixth Wave”, “SIXW” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has received a $250,000 contribution from the Nova Scotia COVID-19 Response Council (“NSCRC”) for the development of its proposed AMIPs™ echnology for the rapid detection of viruses such as SARS-CoV-2 (“SARS-CoV-2” or the “Virus”). AMIPs™ is based on Sixth Wave’s patented and patent-pending molecularly imprinted polymer systems.

“Our sincere appreciation to the Province of Nova Scotia for its participation in this project,” said Dr. Jon Gluckman, CEO of Sixth Wave. “Sixth Wave has a substantial history of delivering similarly complex MIP based solutions within limited timelines, as evidenced by our explosives detection wipes and bacterial pathogen diagnostic tools. We welcome this opportunity to once again prove the utility of molecular imprinting as a detection and diagnostic tool, especially in circumstances of such importance to public health and security.”

I am still waiting for this one to make a big upside move in the not too distant future. Market cap is way too low imo considering the potential of their technology.

Sixth Wave Imprints First Polymer for Detection of SARS-CoV-2
    Halifax, Nova Scotia – (February 9, 2021)

    https://sixthwave.com/sixth-wave-imprints-first-polymer-for-detection-of-sars-cov-2/

“This is an important accomplishment in the AMIPs development cycle,” said Dr. Jonathan Gluckman, President and CEO of Sixth Wave. “With the completion of the initial imprint, we’ve demonstrated the process of making this polymer. More importantly, we now have an AMIPs prototype customized for SARS-CoV-2, which we can run through a battery of tests, optimizing its design with each successive imprint version. At the end of this process, we aim to have a Definitive Imprint with an extremely high affinity, or attraction, to the Virus, with clinically relevant detection levels and reliability.”

“Such a Definitive Imprint, will be a powerful diagnostic tool, capable of detecting COVID-19 both quickly and accurately,” said Dr. Garrett Kraft, SIXW’s Lead Researcher for AMIPs. “By comparison to the majority of rapid detection technologies based on immunoassay techniques, the AMIPs platform utilizes the entire virus profile for detection and capture rather than biologically derived antibodies. This is an important prospective advantage for AMIPs. As multiple variants emerge, there is growing evidence that the evolution of the Virus is making it less recognizable to identified antibodies, the utility of existing rapid immunoassay tests may also be compromised or totally invalidated.

“AMIPs changes the calculus and has the promise of being immune to relatively minor mutations of the outer shell of the Virus since it is not based on antigen/antibody binding,” said Dr. Gluckman. “Moreover, multiple variants or multiple different viruses can potentially be tested on a single test strip providing greater flexibility and lower overall costs to the healthcare system. This potential all-in-one feature, along with the speed at which novel mutations can be added, makes for a flexible and obsolescence resistant platform, evolving in tandem with new pathogenic threats.”
